What is Carfree Sunday?
Carfree Sunday is a day that is set on the last sunday of the month
which is held at the Central business District
where vechicle are being redirected to another route freeing up the area for sport event to take place.
During the event besides walking, jogging or cycling around the 5km car-free route, the community can look forward to a wide array of family-friendly activities and events. Cyclists and users of Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs) are invited to pledge their commitment to be Safe Riders and to practise the seven habits of safe riding. They can also test out their safe riding skills at LTA’s Safe Riding Clinic.
There are also new activities happening in the Civic District, including the RHB Singapore Cup Football Carnival, Lindy Hop performance and lesson, pebble-painting activity, ActiveSG Kids Obstacles Fun Race, free performances at Victoria Concert Hall and guided tours of National Gallery.
